The Jane Gifford was ceremoniously relaunched on the 16th May 2009 and was welcomed back to the Mahurangi by hundreds of people lining the river when she docked at her new home in Warkworth.
As stunning as she looks, funding is still required to finish her completely before she can sail. However she is now fully surveyed, and available for trips using her twin diesels.
She is now moored at the Warkworth Wharf and is available to the public for charters, educational trips, special occasions and as a training ship.

Latest news: Following a series of successful trips up and down the river over the Kowhai Festival weekend, another series of public trips is scheduled:
