The Jane Gifford: Sponsors / Contributors
By the end of 2007 the Jane Gifford was two-thirds completed and has cost over $350,000. She is expected to need another $200,000 to be fully operational, and more donations are urgently sought. The restoration work has been carried out by paid boat builders when funds allow, with enormous help from dedicated volunteers.
The trust has received substantial grants from Pub Charities, SkyCity Community Trust, Rotary and numerous companies, and local residents.
Generous contributions have already been received, but all contributions would be gratefully received and donors should feel confident that their sponsorship would be prudently applied to the successful restoration hopefully to coincide with the original launching of the Jane Gifford in 1908.
Ongoing repairs and maintenance will be provided by hiring out the Jane for various private functions. There has already been enquiries for weddings.
